ETUI järjestää vuosittain henkilöstökoulutuksia ajankohtaisista ay-aiheista.⚙️ “EU for Trade Unionists” -koulutuksessa (4.5.-28.6.2026) pääset perehtymään Euroopan Unioniin ja siihen, miten se toimii, miten päätöksiä tehdään sekä mikä on ammattiliittojen rooli ja miten ne voivat vaikuttaa eri prosesseihin. Hae viimeistään 26.4.⚙️ “European Pillar of Social Rights” -koulutuksessa (18.5.-14.6.2026) pääset perehtymään EPSR:n käyttämiseen ja miten se toimii EU:n ja globaalien aloitteiden kanssa. EU:n palkka-avoimuusdirektiivi on yksi viime vuosien merkittävimmistä tasa-arvouudistuksista. Lähiaikoina ratkaistaan, toteutuuko sen lupaus käytännössä – vai jääkö se vajaaksi kansallisessa toimeenpanossa. ”Jos palkkatasa-arvoa ja avoimuutta halutaan oikeasti edistää, pitäisi työtä tehdä paljon kunnianhimoisemmin kuin nyt”, toteaa SAK:n hallituksen varapuheenjohtaja Katja Syvärinen. ”Palkkatasa-arvo ei toteudu itsestään. Se vaatii selkeää lainsäädäntöä ja aitoa sitoutumista sen toimeenpanoon”, Syvärinen muistuttaa videolla.

Euroopan unioni hyväksyi vuonna 2024 direktiivin naisiin kohdistuvan väkivallan torjumiseksi. Se on tärkeä askel, mutta työelämän arjessa tarvitaan edelleen vahvempaa suojaa ja sitovampia toimia seksuaalista häirintää vastaan. STTK:n puheenjohtaja Else-Mai Kirvesniemi painottaa FinUnionsin videolla, että työpaikan pitää olla turvallinen paikka. Silti liian moni kohtaa työssään seksuaalista häirintää. ”Jokaisella on oikeus häirinnästä vapaaseen työelämään”, Kirvesniemi painottaa. Häirinnän kitkeminen vaatii nollatoleranssia, selkeitä pelisääntöjä ja aktiivista vastuunkantoa työpaikoilla.

In his greeting to FinUnions, the General Secretary of the ITUC, Luc Triangle talks about the importance of international solidarity: "We have shown together that international solidarity is not just a principle, but a practice, as we stand with you when you fight to strengthen workers' rights in Finland. In today's world of rising inequality, your role is more vital than ever".

ETUC General Secretary Esther Lynch emphasize in her greeting, that FinUnions have been a vital voice ever since Finland joined the EU, ensuring workers concerns are heard loud and clear at the European level. "It's a real honour to celebrate 30 years of FinUnions, 3 decades of tireless advocacy, solidarity and commitment to defending the rights of Finnish workers in Brussels and across Europe. Thank you for your outstanding contribution to our European trade union family".
